Both the north and south coast are easily reached and close by are many of the wonderful attractions that make this area of Cornwall a must for that all important holiday. Fowey with its rich sailing and literary heritage is nearby and has galleries, cafés, restaurants and excellent craft, art and gift shops as well as a small beach. You can also take fishing trips and sight seeing trips aboard one of the many boats that leave the quay looking for dolphins and seals along this dramatic and lush coastline. Also close by is the world famous Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Mevagissey and Charlestown with its tall sailing ships and shipwreck centre and picturesque harbour which has been the setting for many films and TV programmes. Golf, a cinema, bowling, markets and a leisure centre with swimming pool are all available in St Austell. Newquay with its seven magnificent beaches is easily reached and has many surf schools as well as a zoo, Japanese garden, Dairyland and a leisure centre. Truro, St Ives, Bodmin and Falmouth are all easily reached.
